American Eagle Outfitters成立於1977年，創始人Abraham Bloemaert 為美籍意大利人。總部在美國匹茲堡，設計團隊位於紐約市，American Eagle Outfitters目前已成為美國超人氣牛仔品牌。一直堅持為消費者提供舒適、時尚、高質量並適合各種場合的休閒服飾。American Eagle 也是全世界家喻戶曉的品牌。
標誌是一隻翱翔的鷹，象徵堅毅、不屈、拼搏、向上，張揚而不失個性。
品牌大事記：
1977年，首家AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 專賣店在密歇根州諾維市的Twelve Oaks Mall開業。
1990年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 私有化，推出獨家品牌商品。
1997年，標識牛仔褲。美鷹傲飛AEO (American Eagle Outfitters)推出牛仔褲款型標識系統，為每個人提供合身的牛仔褲。
1998年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 進軍互聯網並發布ae.com網站。
1999年，首家旗艦店在舊金山市中心開業。
2000年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 專賣店達到500家。
2001年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 走出美國，在加拿大受到熱情歡迎。
2002年，Live Your Life 。AEO鼓勵消費者“過自己的生活” (Live Your Life) 。
※Live Your Life是AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 早在2002年春就提出的品牌宣言。通過“Live Your Life ”，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 鼓勵每一位消費者追求獨立、樂觀和勇於冒險的精神。
2003年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 進軍太平洋市場，在夏威夷開設兩家分店。
2004年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters) 雄鷹標誌首次亮相。
2007年，Aerie發布全新系列運動服飾，aerie f.it.
2011年，AEO (American Eagle Outfitters)進軍亞洲市場，在香港開設首家分店。同年5月，在上海開設亞洲旗艦店。12月在北京開設首間旗艦店。
